I attended a small car show today, here are the pics.
Most of those cars can be seen on every car show here, but there were some goodies too:
The classic 911. They are everywhere, but it’s always nice to see one
Safety regulations weren’t kind to those bumpers
A really nice 944
I have mixed feelings for those
A 993 targa, I was jealous
The most beautiful 911 in my opinion
Save the ducktails!
Those truck tail lights must have been added to meet German standards, it’s a shame, the rest was really nice (appart from those stickers, please stop that)
The front was clean though
Pop-up headlights are best headlights
Opel Diplomat
Powered by a Chevy 327
Are there Americans who drive Kübelwagens with German militaria accessories?
Does anyone know what this wrapped thing on the fender is?
Black on red Mustang
I don’t know if it’s genuine, but Shelby GT350 convertible
Scoops everything!
A red on black mustang, parked next to the black one
The black Mustangs engine bay
Red Mustang: Manuel on board
And the black one, with a color matching purse
A fully restored Firebird
It really bothered me that the stripes weren’t centered
The Pontiacs engine
A cute little Honda S600
One of those cars I won’t ever be able to drive (I’m way too tall)
Ooh, a penny!
More to come later (with more french goodness)

The thing wraped around the bumper on the jeep is rope.

Nice, I think the thing on the jeep is some kind of convoy light or something.
Did you take the Bel Air there?

Yes, Americans do drive around in Kunelwagens with all of the gear, but usually no Swastikas or markings. The wrapped thing on the Jeep is a spotlight.

Yeah I think the swastikas would be a bit too much. I once saw a Kubel with an Afrika Korps palm tree and a VW logo replacing the Swastika, I found it to be funny in a weird way. I was wondering if the light isn’t some sort of red MP light, which would explain why they have to hide it (Germany is a pain in the ass when it comes to lighting, or basically anything, really)

Thanks, more pictures to come, including one from the bel air next to a mini, perfect parking spot :)
Yes it must be some sort of lighting, but there was a convoy light on the left fender that wasn’t hidden, so I wonder if it isn’t some red MP light that wouldn’t be allowed in Germany.

It sure is, but I meant the thing bolted to the fender, must be some kind of lighting.

En France? Or in Germany?

How close to Germany are you? Also, the red Shelby has a rather interesting “California” plate (French format, Cali design). Is that legal?

I live 4km away from the border. This meeting was 50m away from the border. Those plates are totally illegal, but he probably won’t get any problems for this. I liked the idea.

France, but very close to the border (about 50m) and it was advertised in both Germany and France.

Ah, that's pretty cool. So you're quite close!
